Was the dad who charged the mat a d-5 dad? I was disappointed also with d-5 losing like that. The most disappointing loss I saw was gibbons losing 4-3 in the quarters. I can't believe he lost to that kid! That kid stalled alot and gibbons looked like he got two right at the buzzer, but ref said no! Usually when link and roberts go at it the parents and fans usually go at it when one kid loses. I saw that years ago when link beat roberts. The dads and roberts brother were going at it. I thought d-5 wrestlers were good until I saw this wrestling at the war memorial. These d-6 and d-7 kids are monsters and years ahead of the d-5 kids. How many even placed from d-5 in the top 5? Noone took 1st! Roberts, easter, and I think suter were 2nd. And gibbons 3rd and dibert and hixson 5th I believe. I don't think any other d-5 kid placed. Did crites get 5th?

I think it is hard to say Gibbons should just roll through Guidi. Remember Guidi is a returning regional champ and placed 4th at states I think. The kid is no joke. With that being said he has had Brians number to this point this year. Hopefully they wrestle 1 more time.

I saw some epic freak outs this weekend it wasnt just D5 kids.AAron Toth and Sean LaVella both at the same weight had freak outs when they lost...Head gear getting thrown in the stands. In the Link match the kid who worked harder won that match. South Fayette coach still had his giant stick? also did anyone see the bentworth kid charge the mat try to attack the referee? I think his dad stopped him seconds away from getting at the ref.

On the "timeouts" for injury, aka getting your second wind. If there's blood, or a limb injury, that's obvious, but to get a breather and stop the other kid's momentum, that's wrong, and maybe a point should be given to the other kid. For instance, FH should have had a 5th place winner in Cody Law. He was losing by a point, but had his kid "out-conditioned" and the momentum clearly going his way, when an "injury timeout "was signaled, clearly stopping Law from turning him and changing the outcome. Don't know all the ref's names, but one I won't soon forget is "All About ME" Bishop.
It ain't over until it's over.

Officials at regionals...

Eichelberger, Chapman...I bet both these guys gave a great effort...

Did anyone else recognize the other officials?

What about Fogel from Ebensburg?

Who called the defensive pin?

D5 had Eichelberger Beach and Boburchock. D6 had Barger Chatman and Haselrig. I dont know any of them from D7..I dont understand why people are upset with the officials i thought some calls werent right at times but you will get that in any tournament. Why are people upset?
