51-25? They need a lot of touchdowns and should be going for 2 after each score...

Glad Jtown was able to get a few 4th qtr TDs to make it respectable...A dopped pass here, a holding penalty there and they'd have been right in it

Perhaps if a couple of "TITAN" players had transferred to J-town they could have had a taste of what playing in the PIAA feels like--or they could have won the WPIAL game that they were heavily favored in..one of the biggest letdowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwns in recent WPIAL memory
Now back to the gridiron..bow wow wow yippi yo yippy yay

Seton La Salle shined tonight and Ligonier showed signs of poor fundamentals which really was the difference. Ligonier had problems with the half court pressure and just had too many turnovers. A lot of it due to poor passing decisions. You can not beat a team when you make as many mistakes as Ligonier did today. I'm not sure I agree with the Ligonier player rotation but that was his call. Seton La Salle is fast and they had countless steals when they stripped the Ligonier ladies of the ball. It was apparent Seton was deep but in my opirnion they can be beat by a good public team if they have good fundamentals.
Marion Center played a great game in a loosing effort against Bishop Canevin. Marion Center had the better group of players that just failed to stop Bishop Canevin. I should correct myself they only failed to stop one player. I would dare to say the top 10 girls on the court were p Marion Center players and one Bishop Canevin player. If they only had an answer to the outstanding play of #22 a 5'10" guard that could play point guard to post. She lead with 24 or 25 points tonight.
Well Johnstown lets just say the game was over before half time. I counted 14 turnovers by Johnstown in the first half. It is hard to press when you are not scoring in the first half. There really is nothing more to add Johnstown was very, very bad tonight.
So even though I saw two girls Catholics schools win tonight I didn't see anyone have an advantage as far as more skilled players. What I saw was poor fundamentals by one team and the failure to stop a powerful player in the other game. I feel if Ligonier played a sounder game with less turnovers, really they were just bad decisions they could have been fighting for a victory. Also coaching may have been the biggest factor. Marion Center certainly was up to the task against their opponent. However the failure to come up with a solution for one player cost them the game.
In any event this is the story of the games played at Hempfield and the way I saw the games.
