One of those matches was Synder vs. Mellot. Mellot took Snyder down and put him on his back to lead 4-0 then Synder reversed and made it 4-2. Mellot got out to make it 5-2. Then Synder took him down and made it 5-4 and later pinned Mellot in a craddle. I thought it was a great match.

Best match of the night had to be at 125
Double OT
give the win to NBC but it was a tough bout for both wrestlers

Holler for Hyndman and I believe it was Matt Mellott for NBC (correct me if I'm wrong)

yes your correct hornetfan...matt mellott put his patented move on holler for much of the match and it was enough to pull out the W...

the snyder/mellott match, while it lasted, may have been the most exciting match of the evening...jared is an offensive wrestler, which may have actually hurt him after the first period...he got that lead and i think if he would have played a little defense he could have been in a good position to win the match...

strayed looked pretty solid against the evens kid...i think strayer will place in the top 3 at districts...in other years he wouldnt even smell regionals but he may one of the best of the worst in this years hwt class...

i honestly dont think hyndman has a very good team this year...its just the fact that basically every other team in the county is down except for chestnut ridge...sure hyndman has its fair share of good wrestlers but they have a lot of holes too...it just so happened that hyndmans weak spots were a little bit tougher than nbc's weak spots...best of luck throughout the season for the hornets...

Hyndman isn't too bad, they just have to many forfeits, with a full team hyndman would be good! We need to be recruiting some wrestlers! But we do have a new comer, Paul Corley...Good Luck to him.

I just want to say i was very proud of Zach Hart lastnight, being his first year wrestling, and i believe his first match (could be wrong though) wrestling a tough kid like Josh he did very well in the first period. Even though Josh took the win with a tech fall. Zach did very well againts him!! Congrats to both of you wrestlers! :D
