Re: Level playing fields?
heres an idea for a level playing field, Train Harder in the offseason and maybe youll be better. Or just be like Richland and give everyone a trophy cuz were all special!
Re: Level playing fields?
Or, you could recruit an All-Star team with players from area school districts and play Class A. Oh wait, this already has been done.
Re: Level playing fields?
I think Richland has the LHAC cup trophy(encompasses final results in all LHAC sports), is that the one you are referring to?

Saw last week a feature on 60 Minutes about legendary St. Anthony's high school basketball coach, Bob Hurley! I noticed they won the New Jersey NON-PUBLIC state championship game! What a novel idea, separate public and private state tournaments!

Man ppl in this mayberry section of the state are so unrealistic!!! You can't understand it when someone puts it nice so i'm going to talk turkey!!lol. Your small schools suck and do not benefit the close minded, jethros that it produces. More than half of those hick schools would only be good on a big scale if they consolidated and combined anyway! Why do ppl in this region think that Winber is a rich area or westmont or even richland... In any other major city those run down middle class neighborhoods wouldn't be that heralded or desired for living if you were priveledged. So why your turning your farmer noses up at "johnstown city people". Just about everyone outside of this gun toating farmerville region looks at you like beverly hillbillies.lol. Ohh and all those hicktown schools suck in most sports and would not be competitive outside of district 5/6 region w/o merging.reugenev wrote:Saw last week a feature on 60 Minutes about legendary St. Anthony's high school basketball coach, Bob Hurley! Other that a few years, most teams around here don't have enough talent to compete with other areas. Fh, Bm, and Bc make a few runs, and have some talent and play well as a team. In other areas A schools have the amount of kids playing that a AAA does around here. Look at the area they live. Most of thoes kids see it as a away of getting out.

That exact line is on the back of the DVD case for All The Right Moves, that for the high school boys of Ampine football is the only way out.woninthetrenches wrote: Most of thoes kids see it as a away of getting out.

Re: Level playing fields?
Guess you were in a hurry to post that; the school's name was Ampipe, as in the big company in the fictitious town the movie was built around. It really made a name for that kid no one ever heard of, Tom Cruise. Didn't do much for Stefan Djeorgevich though. Excuse my butchering of the slavic name.
It ain't over until it's over.
