what people don't realize is that the l.h. produces 5-8 good players on one team and the west pac may only have 1-3 on any one team. But, the player that are the tops on these west pac teams can be stars in the l.h. also. Ex. saylor and will, straisser bros, cover and some of the windber linemen, along with byers from township. These are a few that come to mind and I know saylor would have been the best back in the l.h.s this year!!! Just because you are in the west pac doesn't mean these kids have no talent!!! I have seen the geistown pee-wee league which is forest hills feeder system have some of the west pac players be as good as if not better than some of these kids that were successful the last two years in high school football. Ex. portage had kephart and he went to carroll and still was a stud, and larue for mccort came from c.valley and he was good last year. The schilling bros from blacklick to carroll and so on. L.h. has better and more coaches, but alot of west pac kids could have been stars in the l.h.s. Their still are good players in the west pac!!! The difference is the numbers game that you have more to choose from per team than the west pac.

Didnt mccort struggle with portage this year? and portage was in a "rebuilding year". Granted this is just one example, but it shows that WestPac teams can compete with midlevel LHAC

McCort was also in a rebuilding year, they'd just graduated 22 kids off of a state runner up team, but they still won. And Portage was top of the West Pac and like you said last year McCort was just middle of the pack in the LHAC.

Only team with a better record was Berlin, and Portage and Township both won 7 regular season games, therefor Portage was tied for second in the WestPac that is in no way shape or form middle of the pack.

CT did beat them. You play NS-Portage, NS wins. That makes them No. 4

But, Portage did not play NS. And McCort was 6th in the LHAC, with FH, Jtown, CC, BC, and PC in front of them all 5 of which they lost to.
