Spring Football: Central vs. Clearfield

Post by PsuDfense30 »

In a game where both teams threw their rotation of 3rd-6th best pitchers, Central topped Clearfield in a 36-22 game at Clearfield in 6 innings. Their field is small and there were 10 homers total (6 Central, 4 Clearfield). Lucas Blattenberger from Central went 6-7 with 4 homeruns and 9 rbis and Lucas Runk hit 2 homeruns and also hit for the cycle and 6 rbis. It was unlike any baseball game I have ever seen. If the batter didnt get a hit, you were surprised. They had a combined over 50 hits as well. Clearfield was up 16-14 after the 3rd and it was back and forth all game until Central scored 12 in the 6th. Anyone seen a game with a higher score lately? Or ever in local high school baseball?

Wow, don't remember a score higher than that. However, I do recall that last year Somerset defeated Richland 32-11 in Cambria Legion. I believe there were five home runs total in that contest.
