yeah id say count berlin out. The newspapers are usually dead on with results so id say trust them. Berlin must be DEFINITELY going into this one as the heavy underdogs now.

Why did it have everett listed as winning the 4x1 instead of berlin??? They ran against each other the other day and the paper has everett winning with a 45.1. I know berlin ran a faster time than that, but apparently they didn't do it the other day when they went head to head! Berlin only beat that time 1 or 2 times this year though! Maybe they messed up on handoffs! They are the heavy underdogs in the 4x4 because a 3:54 wouldn't beat any of the top teams in the districts! I would call it an underdog when other teams are running 3:36's!! I know they are the favorites in the 4x1, but everett beat them the other day with a 45.1. Look in the somerset paper and most papers are right with times because your berlin coach calls everything in! I am just stating facts buddy that your coaches called in. I didn't see a 44.5, I saw 4x1 everett 45.1 and only the 1st place team is listed and you were at that meet with everett and ligonier so how did you run a 44.5??? Your name would be listed at 1st not everetts!

lol first of all get your facts straight. Everett called in the score. 2nd, the 4x1 time wasnt the only 1 screwed up. so was the 200 m dash time. Regardless, you would know this if you were there, like i was.

Sorry, I was surprised when I read it in the paper and never knew it was a misprint! Bb said berlin would win both relays and I didn't know the times and winning teams were wrong! I went to meets and times and winners were right 99% of the time and why would everett call it in the somerset paper??? I could see the bedford gazzette but why would they call it in and put everett in 1st over berlin when they saw berlin win??? Something sounds fishy in this story??? I am not cutting anyone down, I was shocked to read it. So did berlin take first in the 4x1 or did everett? I wasn't their like you said, so now I'm asking you who was their?? I was surprised that everett ran a 45.1 and was that right???

No insight on this wrong info bb?? So you are from berlin, who won the 4x1 at the everett meet between bb and everett and what was the time??? Why did everett call this to the somerset paper wrong? And it is going to rain all week long off and on, it is that time of year! Playoffs09 is saying the paper was wrong but didn't give any info on this! Or are you guys undercover for berlin to keep info top secret so you don't give any valuable info out, so you can win districts?? Their are no teams to compare to you except for windber, and you beat them twice, so what is your worry? You guys are two of the bigger schools and should win though every year! As long as saylers ankle heals, you will win! Ridge and bedford stink this year and are the only other big schools to compete with you, or are you worrying about nbc??

Bigger school? Berlin's senior class has 56 kids in it. Big school lemme tell you. It's actually one of the smallest schools.

http://www.piaa.org/schools/directory/l ... district=5

that shows the enrollement of all the schools in district 5. berlin is only bigger than a handful of schools. most of which dual enroll for track and other sports

I am surprised that berlin has 211 kids in the senior high which is about 70 kids a class! How does berlin and these schools run against ridge 387, bedford 480, everett 361,. Shade gets shanksville and jcs to run with them, but jcs has 1 kid and shanksville has 3 boys that scored and 1 girl with none from jcs, so how can you count these #s in! Meyersdale and salisbury go together and not many kids from that school. Coops don't really count because kids don't come over from these schools to participate! The #s say these schools are big in numbers, but if you actually look at overall #s you might get 1 maybe 2 kids that even letter! Another ex. is windber wrestling with shade! Shade gets 1 kid from windber who is good because he came from new jersey and had experience or they would get 0 kids from that school, but the numbers added total of the schools add up big time, but are false stats if you look at the participation from these coop schools! Does berlin get anyone for track? I know they have rockwood and shanksville in wrestling, which doesn't add many starters to your school from what I see?? C. miller, shawley, thompson?? That isn't much participation! At least rockwood and shanksville have an elementary program that has been established, unlike windber whos kids know nothing and don't go out for the sport! Their should be a rule that if 10 total kids don't come out for these schools they can't add to a number to put them up into a aa or triple aaa number! Berlin is doing really well for only 211 kids, but next year it looks like they will really be hurting losing these good seniors! Oh well it was a good run!
