Ultimatly record shouldn't have anything to do with selection. It should be "is this player the best at his position" A team could be 0-30 and it shouldn't be taken out on a kid that deserves to be in the game. It's hard to not take guys that are playing d2 and d1 football even if thier record was 1-9. With that being said good teams kind of get ripped because they may have 5 guys that deserve to go but will never be allowed to take that many.

Speaking of "It's hard not to take guys who are playing d2 and d1 football even if their record was 1-9". Did the Morris kid who is headed to Akron play in the game? The guys I was sitting with wondered if he was playing or not.

Just an idea. I think they should play the Lantzy game and the Lezzer Lumber game the same week and then the winners play the next week. I know it would be harder on the kids having to practice for two weeks instead of one but it would be really neat to have sort of a 4 team tourney of all star teams. Any thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing (4 team tournament) last night as I watched the LL game. Would have been real interesting to see the Lantzy North Defense and Lezzer South Offense go against each other.

Morris didn't start and according to sources refused to go back in the game in the 3rd qtr and played no more. So I guess he only played mid 1st Qtr through whenever he proclaimed he was done in the 3rd. when he was in the game he had little to no affect on things.

hmmmmm. With the score 3-0 at the half, the game was by no means OVER in the 3rd quarter. Wonder why he bailed? Don't expect that from a guy with a full ride to a D1 school. AND he was even playing for his original high school head coach, not some stranger. hmmmmm again.
