Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
We should get a good idea of how Richland will look this year right off the bat. They open in Sidman week 1. Should also give us a good read on the Rangers. If they blow the Rams out it will be business as usual. If the Rams play well and win or make it a game, then I think Johnstown will run the table and Richland will be a top 4 or 5 team in 6 AA. Will be interesting to see if Bailey Jr tries to muscle up with FH or does what everyone expects. JD,since you have seen Richland's line how do you see the Rams matching up up front with FH?

CC
Their line should hold their own against FH, if Bailey JR runs the ball with Rizzo 20+ times in that game they'll have a chance to pull the upset. If not, they'll get spanked. Talked to one of my buddies that plays for Richlands dad today, him and I both agreed Richland has the talent to compete in the LHAC. The head coach is the question.

Also just a note from Osborne St, Nemo Trexler can't play this season due to knee issues. Could be a big lose at WR.

There's always the local high school free agent list. LOL
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
Bailey Jr is not going to go for the "three yards and a cloud of dust" offense and give the ball to Rizzo 20+ times. Plus that will wear out Rizzo on the defensive side of the ball.

Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
Don't look for Rizzo to be a factor on defense anyways. He didn't start on defense last year after the 3rd game except to fill in for an injured DE against Westmont. He isn't effective on that side of the ball. He just wants to run the ball.Plays no special teams either. Bailey should be able to give it to him 20+ times a game.
Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
Tell me. In the world of two-way high school football, why isn't the state hwt wrestling champion not playing defense. Most wrestlers I knew who played football played BOTH ways.

I can always count on you to rip McCort with recruiting!
And CC Bailey needs to give Rizzo the ball 20+ times if he wants to compete.

Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
Does McCort have wrestling?????? What did I just say about BM recruiting????? And besides, I NEVER said BM recruits. I did say, however, they take in kids who OBVIOUSLY are transferring for athletic reasons, and WILL NOT turn them down. You know, the old aiding and abetting. Rizzo is big and strong but I don't think he is a football player. If so, he would play both ways and do it well. Why do you keep a state wrestling champion on the bench for defense, or only use him sparingly? Kind of unheard of, right?
Re: Best kept secret in the LHAC
No Not really Paul Forcellini played part time D and he was a lot better then Rizzo.
