I would say right now on paper Curwensville looks better than Brockway, but Brockway has a winning attitude coming back with a couple studs to lead the way.

Brinkley, Murray, Snyder, Heigle, and Overturf will lead the way on the line along with Lundberg seeing the field after an acl tear from last season and the younger Yahner boy who will be a freshman. He has some good size and a lot of speed. He may get the start at center this year.

As for the skill positions Bruan at QB is going to be a huge threat. Along with Vervoort and Mellilo in the backfield.

We will see what happens.

What's the thought on Dubois with Varischetti taking over?

If this was the point spread who would you choose?

Curwensville -10 vs Brockway

I would go brockway. I don't think cville is ten points better. It will be a difference of 7 points either way

Braun said on WTAJ that the Rovers should be better than last year which I found surprising, but all corroborates some of the posts on here. Tough to replace the all-time PA passer. Any chance the D9 rep takes down the WPIAL champ this year? Doesn't seem to be a prohibitive favorite out that way in AA from what I'm hearing. Maybe Seton-Lasalle.

This year's brockway team is not close to last year's. They have a chance to be good but they have their work cut out for them. What's Kane look like this year? They usually have a decent team

Port A and J-Burg battled to a 2-2 tie. Shuey went out with ankle injury for 'Burg after first play from scrimmage. Port moved the ball at will. Bodamer looked good at QB. Rams 2 td's were scored against the jv team. Also heard Coudy shut out Curwensville. Anyone have any info on that scrimmage?

I can't even watch a scrimmage, you can't tell who is playing unless you know the team inside and out, and you can't tell if the coach is playing his best kids or his backups the majority of the time.

Having said that, I was told that Coudy looked good against Curwensville by someone who was there, and was the better team in the first ten plays on each side of the ball. To be honest, I have a hard time believing it.

The scrimmage vs Coudersport wasn't very promising, but this week things looked much better and the Tide look ready to go! The first scrimmage usually isn't a very good look for anyone unless they have their whole team back, and then in that case a lot of the younger guys end up getting reps so coaches can take a look at some guys.
