I would complain about the bleacher coaching fans at BC, but I think that they are all down on the sideline. How many people are allowed on the sideline. Guess it is part of the recruiting package.

Sportsfan1000 I have no idea how u were raised but when I was in high school my parents treated me as an adult. It's a stretch to call them kids they are YOUNG ADULTS. First off there is a difference from "criticizing" and bashing. There is nothing wrong with criticizing some one but there is something wrong with "bashing" a high school player. I point out teams and players weaknesses and I also point out there strengths and praise players when they deserve it. So chill out and if anyone is acting like a "tough guy" it is you.

only person who should be criticizing any player is the coach and/or his parents everyone else should just stay at home if they have nothing better to do then come to a game that these kids work all summer long and week after week to have someone who usually doesnt know anything about the game come and rip on someone because he fumbled or missed a block or missed a tackle.. they are not only kids... they are human.. no one is perfect.

Unless you live on an uncharted island, live in a cave as a hermit, in a monastery as a reclusive monk, or something like that, you are exposed to everything the world throws at you. You leave Mommy and Daddy, so to speak, around age 5 or 6 to go to an institution (school) to be indoctrinated to "help" you be able to cope in the real world. Some of us manage to survive the bullying and frustrations of life to become adults without turning to crime or drugs. Some of us were Men and Women enough to take it. The old saying still applies: "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger". I get so sick and tired of some people and their feelgood mentality. The everyone gets a trophy mentality. The no child left behind mentality . Grow up people. Get over yourselves. If you can't take some (what I prefer to call) constructive criticism, what some of you call "picking" on a kid or coach, go bury your head in the sand, because it isn't going to go away. Grow a pair and move on. If we as a country adopted the Israeli way and had mandatory military service for a year or so for EVERY kid after high school, the whole mentality of this country would change for the better. You would see manners and courtesies improve. Whole interpersonal relations would improve. You wouldn't have a few crybabies on a local sports messageboard/ forum whining about who we shouldn't name , criticize, or pick on because they might then feel bad about themselves and their self esteem will suffer. They might actually mature as a person and grow up. Or not. Have a great day. Go out and SEIZE it! Not whine about it.

I have absolutely no idea how you think there is a connection between "the everyone gets a trophy" mentality to this conversation. Just because I think it is in bad taste to bash a hs kid under an anonomous name does not mean I agree with the mentality you speak of.

If you think these kids should be "man" enough to take some criticism, then when you criticize a hs kid why don't YOU be man enough and attach your real name to the post? Be a man and stand by your comments and tell us all who you are when you feel the need to criticize. It's real easy to hide behind that name and say kids should be able to take it. Be a man and stand by YOUR comments. Guarantee you or anyone else will not do that. Prove me wrong and do it.

Not trying to bully anyone. If you stand by your comments regarding being critical of a hs player put your real name to them. Is that a hard concept to understand? If they should be men and take the criticism shouldn't the same concept apply to you? I guarantee you wouldn't say some of the things about kids if you had to put your real name by them. Am I wrong about that?
