Week 4 in the Mountain League(MAC)
Bellefonte @ Juniata
Indians gathering experience and garnered a couple close victories along the way, while the Red Raiders have been missing a few kids due to suspensions, I'm not sure how much they'd have helped while Bellefonte has been outscored 128-16 through 3 weeks...ouch. Hey wrestling season is only a couple months off.
Juniata 32 Bellefonte 14
Penns Valley @Central
The Rams have improved, but not enough to withstand the Dragons who are building steam for a playoff run.
Central 41 PV 21
BEA @ P-O
Old fashion rivalry game! No love lost here and BEA hopes to add to their momentum after picking up their 1st win. P-O has been up and down but had enough in the tank to pull out a come from behind win against a spirited Juniata group.
P-O 20 BEA12
Tyrone @ Huntingdon
Yes sir. This is always a circle on the calender. Throw out the records when these 2 hook up; They really don't like each other. After 2 lackluster weeks, coach Franco seems to have got his Eagles attention, and Huntingdon may still be a little shellshocked after getting bombed by Mifflin County a week earlier. It won't get any better this week.
Tyrone 34 Huntingdon 6
Game of the Week
Mifflin County @ Clearfield
The Huskies are flying high after knocking off Tyrone and bumrushing H-don. They have a punishing ground game with a huge and aggressive line. Clearfield has been clicking on all cylinders the last 2 weeks putting up over 90 pts in those 2 games. Somethings' gotta give and it may be Clearfields inexperienced line. If the Huskies can avoid untimely turnovers they can continue their roll.
Huskies 38 Bisons 35

Re: Week 4 in the Mountain League(MAC)
I omitted one...CM vs St Josephs' colle. Inst. ...I originally thought it was the new school in StAte College, they aren't fielding a varsity team yet, St Joes Prep plays someone else, so I googled them. If it's the team from NY that I think it may be....this may end uP being bad. SJCI is ranked #11 in the largest school division of NY; They avg like 40 pts a game against stiff comp. and they throw all over the field, CM may have done this to ready themselves for Franco and Co. the following week; but I believe they bit off more than they want. After blowing a lead against H-don 2 weeks ago, this may end up a disasterous September for the Wildcats. SJCI 56 CM 21

Who is the head coach at Bellefonte now?
The old coach that took the team on a trip every year, where is he at now?

New coach is Duffy Besch. Gravish was the previous coach, he was unpopularly unseated(the way I heard it). Gravish took over a terrible Williamsport team and has made them relevant.

I like your game of the week, Mifflin County at Clearfield. Mifflin has been a surprise so far. Combing Lewistown and Indian Valley shows that the extra playing experence from two teams is very strong. Combining Laurel Valley and Ligonier Valley did very well last year and so far this year. This does look like a close high scoring game. Your Mifflin 38-35 looks good.

I like the ground game , and with bad weather that could limit passing, MC's reliance on the option could be at risk too....this looks real close. Only thing I'm sure of is MC will control the line. They do have experience, Lewistown only had 5 seniors last year and IV would have returned a good bit as well so you are looking at the guys rotating in and all the backups have game experience. They aren't overly talented but they are big and tough.
