Re: Is it time to just put the single A teams in a conferenc
I just printed out a list of the dist teams and to keep them in a "distance related " division, you end up with some really big discrepancies in school size and some really downright inhumane beatings. If you keep the A's and AA's together, you'd still end up with 1 and 1/2 hour bus rides, the district is too spread out . So not only do I disagree with the principal, the concept is flawed and wouldn't work anyway. The only way it would work is with 6 team divisions but then AD's would have to fill 5 schedule slots and I know most would quit first. We had trouble filling a schedule with 3 open dates and B-A always fills one....We SENT OUT over 100 2-year contracts one year after we got stuck with an open date the year before and got 1 back...PIUS X, an A school we had to travel 5 hours to play. I'd tell you where this proposal needs filed but there are kids and ladies who see this...

Consolidation is coming. What are schools going to do with the open dates?

Well that would eliminate the small schools and the problem now wouldn't it?
Matter of fact, B-A is 7 miles one way, Alexandria is 8 the other...that would make a nice school dist. for us.

The "CONSOLIDATION" conference. How's that sound to you all?
