Daaaaa Heights @ Central GIRLS

Post by Coach »

Great game to watch...very physical with key shots hit by both teams. CHS won by 4 with a bucket at the buzzer off a steal.

Some impressions from tonight's game from my standpoint:
-#10 for CH is a darn good ballplayer. She makes things happen repeatedly.

-CH coaches looked like the three amigoes. Could they show their disgust with the players any more? They looked like total goofs at times.

-CH has a nice interior game...but it was limited tonight.

-CHS #42 Crooks played a heck of a ballgame down low for the Lady Dragons. Very physical on defense, and it looked like the CH girl was getting frustrated. She WOULD NOT allow either of those bigger girls to push her too far down under, and that was key. Neal also did a pretty good job in there with them too.

-CHS looked DEAD at the outset, but they really stepped it up after the first quarter.

-CHS-Ferry is one of the best pure shooters (guys or girls) in the area.

-CHS-Feathers (Bird) has a motor that never ever stops running....The Hinish twins are also as scrappy as they get...I LOVE IT

-BOTH TEAMS- Tons of clutch shots back and forth...those are tough to come, but both teams have girls who can really step it up.

-CHS- Didn't play their best game tonight, but they worked extremely hard and played tough. I enjoy watching the younger girls get playing time in key situations in tight games. Nevins, Laratonda, and Crooks all played major minutes tonight. CHS will be battle tested come playoff time, and they will be able to go 8-9 deep on anyone they face.

Good job Lady Dragons....keep it up

thats a very nice post,
im sure the girls will appreciate reading it and girls always can use that little x-tra boost from fans and famiily. CH is always a scrappy team and it will be very hard to win when the game is in their gym but maybe since its later in the year, experience wise we will be better prepared.

I know a few of the girls have been playing through injurys and illness which just shows how much heart they really have, to a normal eye they don't even let it show.

We love all of you girls and will support you throught whatever you do, remember the bonds you develop now with the other players will be the ones that you keep the rest of your life. Also remember if you loose its not the worst thing that will ever happen either, just do your best and ignore the loud people in the stands.
Every kid playing is someone's kid.
