College playoff system
Watching some of these bowl games made me think which in itself is scary. You have to be undefeated for the most part to smell the National Championship game. But if you have three undefeated teams then let the good ole computer pick who is in. This year USC not getting in big time joke. If I am a coach and I feel have a good team that particular year but you lose a game or two early because of injuries or what not your season in one sense is done. You can still play for conference championship a good bowl game that is fine but the goal at a MAJOR DIV 1 school is to be the national champions. I bet maybe 10 to maybe 15 teams went into this year as that being a goal. Being National champions. ONE loss can knock them out. ONLY one which is amazing. WVU as example was playing there best ball at end of year and granted they are in a good bowl game against a good opponent but with a playoff system maybe they make it in based on how would be formatted. Just seems to me being penalized for one loss is no fair and the more I think about this it is crazy. Well I am rambling and I know it has been discussed on some threads but if it is your goal to be NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and you lose one game you are eliminated from that picture sometimes. Doesn't seem fair.

I would like to see the BCS include 4 teams in the national championship. Two Bowl games on New Years Day or day after as semifinals and then a college super bowl a week and a half to two weeks later. Would still be bitching about the #4 and #5 teams but IMO they should feel fortunate just to get a shot if their 4th based on the way it's been.
Other thing is that as conferences consolidate (Southwest Conf. went, Big East is next) an 8 team playoff may become much more reasonable as an option.

I'd agree on letting USC and LSU face off next weekend in a National Title Game. Call it the American Bowl and play the darn thing.
I'd love to see a 16 team tourny, but the problem would be the season would either be cut short a couple weeks or would be longer by a few. Perhaps eliminating some non-conference games, except for those conferences with odd number of teams, would help out. If you played a 10 week season, you'd have 4 weeks to run playoffs in.
