Week 8 in the Mountain League
BEA @ Penns Valley - Tough one to forecast here. The Rams looked to be improved earlier in the year, but have found ways to lose close games. While BEA has been about the norm of the last few years," struggle to achieve mediocrity" . And the Eagles were missing a couple starters last week as well.Somebody has to win.
Penns Valley 24 BEA 22
Huntingdon @ Central - while the 'Cats have the skill to play with about anyone, there has been turmoil in the land of feline this season and the Dragons need this to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Central 34 H-don 14
Bellefonte @ Central Mountain- The Wildcats are another tough call, they have a meat grinder schedule but way too much talent to be 1-6. Good medicine in the form of Bellefonte is on the way to Mill Hall Friday.
Central Mountain 42 Bellefonte 14
Game of the Week B
Juniata @ Clearfield
The Indians have flown under the radar most of the year but weigh in at 5-2 with one of those losses being a 1 pt nailbiter to a very good Philipsburg squad while the Bison machine has stumbled 2 weeks in a row with a tough loss to P-O and a close win over an overmatched Hamburg team. Not sure if there are injuries involved but this could be an upset special. But I won't call it
Clearfield 28 Juniata 21
GAME OF THE WEEK
Tyrone @ Philipsburg
The Mounties have snuck up on some folks this year after losing a game early to Marion Center. Make no mistake, these guys are for real, they have size and some real athletes in the skill spots that make their offense very dangerous. The Mounties biggest problem this year while they've been scoring in bunches to the tune of 34 a game, they've given up a bunch; like 24 pts a game. Not a good omen, even at home with Francos' flying circus coming to town.
Tyrone plays better on both sides of the ball
Tyrone 35 P-O 21

Re: Week 8 in the Mountain League
The Tyrone at P-O game looks very interesting. Ligonier Valley visits P-O in two weeks. Then, L V maybe playing Tyrone or P-O in the Dist. 6 AA playoffs. Hopefully not Tyrone.
