Penn State's 40 minute men...

Post by Coach »

The men's team is in disarray right now, but these guys are the guys I want to see. They are dealing with transfers and more, but Eddie D has his guys now. I still can't believe Deforrest Riley-Smith transferred (rumor has it he wants to go to Kentucky).

They beat Minnesota at home as a dog the other night and had 3 guys play all 40 minutes. Jagla (28 pts), and the two Freshmen Luber and Smith all went the entire game. Luber has gone the entire 40 for 3 straight games. Sure they will get burnt out by the end of the season, but they will also be alot more mentally tough in my opinion because they have to fight off the tired legs. I think they are getting better and better under Eddie. I am excited about PSU basketball again!

Go State beat The Buckeyes!

Riley-Smith decided to go to Xavier which is closer to his hometown of Cleveland.

PSU BIG OVER THE BUCKEYES!!!

They are 2-0 early in the B10 season. They won't keep it up, but it is exciting to see guys in there that look like they can actually play. I told you to remember the name Marlon Smith....today he poured in 23. He and Luber (The Frosh backcourt) nearly went the entire game again today....

WE ARE.................................PENN STATE!

Wow. That's all I have to say. Smith/Luber are the best freshman guard tandem in the Big10, and possibly the country right now.

Best in the country???

If they were playing for Pitt, they'd be sitting on the end of the bench next to Easy Ed Turner in street clothes because they'd be redshirted.

Face it, PSU stinks. So do tOSU and Minnesota.

That 2-0 record in the Big10 doesn't stink though!

Holy Smokes did anyone see final score of Penn St at Illinois?? 70-37 with the State barely scoring near twenty points in the second half. wow that has to be discouraging to say the least.

I still was happy with the beginning of the game when it was 20-16 Illinois. There is a positive right there. The problem is that PSU has like 7 people that play, and they don't have good post players. Johnson is the only player that is good in the post. Ndu is decent, but still below average. Jagla plays best facing the hoop.

Illinois, like Mich St and Pitt, can put the clamps on on defense. They like those two came out and didn't allow the guards to come free clear to the three point line. Then they really struggle trying to pass down into the post. When teams do that Jagla acts like a big baby and just starts throwin crap at the hoop.

I still believe that Eddy D. can get PSU into the middle of the pack every year in the big ten.
