township scrimmaged tussey mountain and forest hills saturday and the varsity team looked very good with 5-0 against both tussey and fh. forest hills still has some good talent and will win a lot of games this year, tussey seems to be in a rebuilding year and their coach only would play one game for the j.v. wanted to give his varsity team all the playing time. i look for tussey to still have a winning record with the demands he puts on his players, he is funny to watch but is a very good coach and will have his team ready for next weeks start of the season.

I saw FH scrimmage PM w/o its football players still in playoffs, and the scrimmage included Punxsy. They held their own against Punxsy and outmanned PM. That being said, I expect the Rangers will win 7 or 8 games this year. No offensive stars, but hardnosed D.

Township will be very tough this year. They return their best players and have a good chance at winning D5 this season. They also have a good shot at Westpac if they can handle CV. CV in my opinion will be the top team with a strong senior class. Don't sleep on Blacklick Valley or Windber either. Both teams know how to compete. Looking forward to another great year of basketball.

I feel that Turkeyfoot has the best chance of winning the westpac this season. They have two 6'7'' brothers that moved into the district, I hear they are foreign and from Gabon. Their parents have work involving the yough river. At a rockwood open gym 3 weeks ago they were dunking the ball consistently and played very good defense.

No Jack Loya is at Friends' Central, but Landon his son is looking to get back into the Westpac action and is in the process of weeding the current Foot coach out and make his way back to the bench.

Another team you better watch out for is shade! With the walker bros and mvp of the county fyock who is way better, and hustling tough brock medva, they will make some noise with a dedicated coach fyock! He puts alot of time in and dedication and his players go all in or will quit. He is respected by his players and they play hard for him and he takes them all over to play. They just whipped ligonier and ridge, and forest hills was also at the tourney. Fyock had 60 total points in 2 games. I think the walker boys helping fyock out will give shade the edge over township who only has boyer and spiegle! C.v are always head cases and choke in the big games. If there football team is similar to there hoops team, those kids had no disipline and always gave up! Blacklick stunk and couldn't win the rockwood tourney and rockwood is bad! Also windber got destroyed in the somerset tourney and looked horrible. I say shade, c.t., c.v.,berlin, and then blacklick/windber. But I don't know how rockwood won the tourney over blacklick? Rockwood is young! Blacklick has two studs in cesarz and sheesley.
