Why the bashing on grammar? I'm sure no one on here puts punctuation into their texts or capitals or full words, so why do we on here? I never checked any box or read any fine print that its a necessity.

Also, we are dealing with high school players here. You get pumped for your rivals (victories over Richland and BM this season were impressive) and sometimes those games you should win hands-down just fall apart.

At the end of the day, HS football carries a much larger load than how many games are won and lost.

Merry Christmas!

Guru wrote:So it is the officials' fault that Johnstown lost to CC and Clearfield? Officials NEVER determine the outcome of a game. A loss is the culmination of lack of preparation and execution by the players and coaches. If a call appears to be the difference in a close game you my friend don't know the first thing about football.
Everyone knows who you are and it's admirable that you want to stick up for CC. That being said, you are both naive and downright wrong if you don't think officials calls are ONE OF MANY determining factors in games. Officials calls arent the only reason a team may win/lose a game but they are one of many factors that help determine a game. To say otherwise is ignorant.

Ask Jerome Bettis on Thanksgiving 98 when he clearly said TAILS if the ref mistake didn't help determine that outcome.

Ask Ed Hoculi what he was thinking when he inadvertantly blew his whistle in a 2008 game-- San Diego and Denver that cost San Diego the ball game. Jay Cutler fumbled with 117 left in the game that Hoculi blew dead.

Ask Missouri how they lost to Colorado in 1990 because Missouri was given the "5th down".

Ask Toledo if the official didn't cost them the game against Syracuse this year on a blown field goal call.

I could go on and on. Officials calls on many occasions help determine a game. To say they don't is a simplistic, moronic view. BTW, the refs were not the reason Johnstown lost either of those games. I'm just saying you're wrong about your view of officials. It's also just a stupid cheap shot with absolutely no validity to make a comment such as "If a call appears to be the difference in a close game you my friend don't know the first thing about football." Every single football coach has a story where the officials cost them the game. Most may say the right things in the papers, but they will all tell you a story of a terrible call that contributed directly to their team losing. If you don't think that's the case then YOU don't know anything about football.

They are not the ones playing. They had the same refs there from the CC game and Forest Hills game. A lot of blown calls also helped out Clearfield. Everybody needs to stop hating on these kids and coaches. Think back to when y'all played, you know you guys wouldn't like it if people pointed out your mistakes. Just SHUT THE HELL UP! Half of you probably never touched the field let alone do what these kids have done. GET OVER YOURSELFS!!!
Man, do I ever feel embarrassed for your school district after reading your atrocious use of grammar/spelling/sense. I feel bad for the people that live in johnstown as well having to see their tax dollars being put to use trying to educate these kids and they can't even write. It's just not cool or hard or whatever you call it. Johnstown used to be a great school until the wannabe thugs and gangsters' kids moved in.
