Wrestlers with the best/worst Sportsmanship!!
What were the jerks from NBC doing on the mat with while the teams were shaking hands. Those fans were the jerks, they should not have been there taunting the Bedford wrestlers. The coaches and wrestlers deserve that few minutes to show respect for each other and the big win for NBC, without jerky fans charging the mat and acting stupid.
Every community has them. 95% of the fans are there for supporting their team. But the others are there to be clowns.

well i am a fan from nbc and i dont appreciate you calling us jerks.....you're the one being a bad sportsman....
and if you've ever been to an nbc match, after every one the fans go down to the mat to talk to the wrestlers.....this incident w/ hollywood huxta was just result of a wild and crazy spirit night. now i'll admit that both parties were out of hand, so if you are going to call people jerks, make sure you get all of them, not just the nbc fans....

That was the one match that I was referring to. The energy was high and the Northern fan were getting crazy (along with everyone else in the house). I'm sure Bobby was already upset from losing and just reacted to something that he didn't like hearing. It was a rare moment for him.
The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, "The Lord is with you oh valiant warrior." Judges 6:12
You are not reading what I said correctly. It does not say all NBC fans are jerks, just the ones who go on the mat while the teams are shaking hands and taunting the opposing team after an emotional loss. 99% are loyal supporters, however the other 1% is what we are talking about. If those fans would have just continued to taunt from the stands, this incident would not have occurred. I wrestled and I would not appreciate this being done to me, after a loss having fans from the other school in my face taunting me. Maybe you are ok with it. I personally would have shoved some kid that was in my face out of the way too.
Fans should cheer their kids, period.

Dep, Who was in Huxta's face? Because the fight i was talking about happend when they were shaking hands - he and alittle group from the crowd started fighting, they were not in his face. They were atleast 10-15ft (if not more) away from him. And you saying they were down on the floor in his face, well no wonder they were on the floor. Seeing how the gym was packed full and that was the only place left to sit.

Some of the worst sportsmanship I've seen occurred a couple times and involved the same wrestler a couple years ago. This wrestler was an extremely good wrestler, but never really learned how to lose. He went to Central. Another match (and wrestler) that included less than respectable sportsmanship was in the Regional Finals. At the conclusion of the match, the way the winner conducted himself was not professional (in my opinion). Ironically, this wrestler won the match. Good sportsmanship was displayed by the loser of the match, who was none other than Tommy Brambley.
