Final Thoughts from the 2012 Thomas Tournament

That was the championship bout and a major upset though! It isn't like it slowed anything up. Just like hoops winning the championship and parents and kids rushing the court. I think it is great for sports to have fans involved like that! Crouse deserved the regonition for that in my eyes. I love it! It would be like craig beating rizzo. Everyone knows and thinks rizzo and a kid comes out of nowhere with a great showing and knocks him off! I would rush the mat also for that one if I was at berlin or a parent/friend. I love when students and parents get involved in a positive way for the deserving kid!

You cant run on the mat. END OF STORY!!! Safety for the wrestlers and the officials...What happens if you storm the mat and the kid who lost blows a gasket and trys to fight? Or security takes you out because he thinks your after the referee? Stay in the stands go down to the podium.

That is the most ridiculous thing ever. How would you like to have been the referee making an overtime call for a championship match against Bedford and CR and you see some whack job rushing the mat. I'm sure the place was roaring loud! How is he supposed to know your from the winning Side? I've seen some wrestling mothers over the years get into it at youth tourny's. That has no place in wrestling. Period. Could that have been a team point deduction?
One of my favorite things to see in wrestling is when a kid whens a big match and goes up into the stands and high fives his teammates and gets an attaboy from his folks. I hope someone told those people to get some class and settle down.

I was watching it via the web cam set up by The Tribune. It was set up on the opposite side of the coaches chairs facing them and seemingly the Ridge fan area. When he won, you saw the coaches jump up and go crazy, same with the fans, but I didn't notice anyone run onto the mat? I'd like to see a replay.....maybe Knopp was recording it?

What happened in the 285 bout sounds like Hayman may make some noise in the postseason if he matched up that well with Hixon or was is just a fluke?

That Hayman kid was pretty good, and really athletic for a HW. He gave him a good match, and I wouldn't say it was a fluke from watching him wrestle.

Crouse is a beast. Bedford has ZERO sportmanship. Tri-valley has some studs. Could go more in depth but i figure this will do to start.

We have good sportsmanship you are saying that the entire team has NO sportsmanship ? I have seen kids from EVERY school get mad when they lose remember they are still kids and I admit Bedford has their fair share of tempers as does every other team ..I have seen kids bite,punch kick cuss at the refs ect I have also seen kids at their best from all the teams around here even Bedford .....The Brett Boys are great kids and yes very much into wrestling and there is no excuse for cussing at any ref but saying BEDFORD has NO sportsmanship really is wrong most of the boys on this team will give a hand to the other wrestler to help him up.Crouse did a super job I agree it will be exciting to see them wrestle again at duals .....
