Idk I think it will all depend on practics this week bc they all look pretty wore out and they need a little break to be back to full Bedford like we know how they can be

Here's my guess on everything (for whatever it may be worth): This is always really difficult to do, so bear with me. I believe Bedford is the best local team we have (District 5/6). I also think that they will make it the furthest of the three local contingents (Bedford, Mount Union, and West Branch). However, I don't think they have enough to place this year. They aren't as good as they have been in previous years. AA features an extremely tough field this year, as my pick to win it all, (Bethlehem Catholic), has competed with top notch teams from AAA all year long. They boast wins over perennial powerhouses Northampton and Easton. They also finished 3rd in the Beast of the East Tournament and had a 6th place finish at the Walsh Iron Man Tournament. Beth. Cath. is battle tested and loaded. It would take an upset to knock them off. WRESTLE-IN ROUND---Lower Moreland over Wyncote Bishop McDevitt, West Branch demolishes Langley. FIRST ROUND---Pen Argyl over Burrell, Bedford over Western Wayne, Central Columbia over Mount Union, Reynolds over Boiling Springs in a very tight match, Fort Leboeuf over Jefferson Morgan, Bethlehem Catholic over Bermudian Springs, Brookville over Lower Moreland, and Wyalusing over West Branch. QUARTERFINALS---Pen Argyl over Bedford, Reynolds over Central Columbia, Bethlehem Catholic over Fort Leboeuf, and Brookville over Wyalusing. SEMIFINALS---Reynolds over Pen Argyl and Bethlehem Catholic over Brookville. FINALS---Bethlehem Catholic over Reynolds....................................................................................................................................................................................................................FIRST ROUND CONSIS---Burrell over Western Wayne, Boiling Springs over Mount Union, Bermudian Springs over Jefferson Morgan, and West Branch over Lower Moreland. SECOND ROUND CONSIS---Burrell over Wyalusing, Fort Leboeuf over Boiling Springs, Bermudian Springs over Central Columbia, and Bedford over West Branch. CONSI-QUARTERFINALS---Fort Leboeuf over Burrell and Bermudian Springs over Bedford. CONSI-SEMIFINALS---Fort Leboeuf over Pen Argyl and Brookville over Bermudian Springs. CONSI-FINALS---Fort Leboeuf over Brookville.
Bedford just has a couple holes this year that will keep them from bringing home hardware, but they are relatively young, as are the other two local teams. West Branch will be heard from for the next 4 or 5 years. Jason Bainey has those boys wrestling really well. Best of Luck to our 3 teams at the PIAA State Team Duals in Hershey, Pa. this weekend!!! I would love to be proven wrong and have 3 placewinners from Districts 5 and 6. For anybody who has never been to this Tournament, it is well worth the trip down. The atmosphere is amazing and you can check out our AAA representative (Central Mountain) competing at the same time. They will open up with District 3 AAA Runner-Up Mechanicsburg. These are only my opinions, based off of results and what I've seen throughout the season and not meant to disrespect any teams or individuals.
1. Beth. Cath.
2. Reynolds
3. Fort Leboeuf
4. Brookville

I agree that the season is long and with injuries, illness and the whole mental thing guys do get worn down. Tough to keep pushing.
In my opinion Bedford should make Hershey but then all bets are off.

imo Bedford needs to do 3 big things to make a run @ Hershey:

1) Return to pinning form - In December Bedford had 8 falls against Chestnut Ridge, on Saturday they had 1. 3 of those matchups were the same, with Bedford just getting close decisions in all 3 on Saturday.

2) Win the coin toss - the Berlin match would probably have been a blowout win if Bedford had won the toss.

3) Get some of their struggling wrestlers back on track. While the Brett brothers and Thomas have been on a roll lately, some others have not. Josiah Koontz & Dylan Evans have recently stepped up mightily when the spotlight was on, but others will need to as well.

Bedford's 1st round opponent Western Wayne's lineup for their D2 title match is below. DShank's AA rankings have C Rosensweet ranked 12th @ 195 and Igaglio ranked 14th @ 220, a weight which he has been down to. While Off The Mat Rankings only lists Igaglio at 11th at 220 and don't include any other Western Wayne wrestlers. In contrast for Bedford DShank has Easter 6 @ 113, Thomas 9 @ 120, Brett 14 @ 126, Yingling 11 @ 170, Brett HM @ 195 & Krupa 11 @ 220. OTM has Easter 5 @ 113, Williams 16 @ 152, Brett 13 @ 182 & Krupa 10 @ 220.

106 Mrsich Ronald 11-15
113 Brown Joshua 5-14
120 Franc Cory 1-7
126 Fischetti Nick 5-18
132 Fuller Morgan 20 - 9
138 Mirailh Manuel 17 - 9
145 Fuller Beau 21-6
152 Karnick Lucas 19 - 9
160 Hadden Brandon 13 - 7
170 Enslin Garrett 17 - 11
182 Burns Virgil 9-2
195 Rosensweet Conner 26 - 2
220 Rosensweet Matt 21 - 4
285 Ingaglio Joseph 26 - 1

Looking at the middle of the bracket...there are 3 huge 1st round matches(matches 4,5,6)!
I'm going with Burrell over Bedford,Reynolds over Mount Union,BeCa over Ft Leb. , and Wyalusing over Brookville in the quarters. Burrell over Reynolds (maybe on criteria) and BeCa huge over Wyalusing in the semi's
And BeCa by say 14 over Burrell in the finals.
Ft Leb. gets 3rd and Reynolds 4th as long as they don't meet in consi semi's then JM will be 4th

They beat a pretty decent J. Morgan team. Maybe I'm givin them too much credit...we'll see. All I know is if Beth Catholic shows up, the battle is for 2nd and 3rd. They were missing a couple key starters, lost a couple bouts they shoulda won, and still beat Easton....they are LOADED!!! BeCa has at least 3 kids that can't make their lineup that would be most schools top guys.
