in 1997 there was no D5 championship it was combined with 6 however, NBC was listed as the champion, the last true championship was in 1995 with NBC beating Windber 14-0 on a snowy Chestnut Ridge field on a Monday evening.

I realize only three teams from Dist 5 that is in ICC. Let me restate again. No one other than a Somerset county school has won a Dist 5 football championship in quite a while.
