Yah cory berchick has impressed me this year especially and is tough to beat. And also congrats to him for breaking the township school most wins record. The 152 weight class has been tough and cory is still hanging on and beating some quality kids in some tight matches which will help the further he goes because he always comes back and wins if he gets behind. That is a testament to the condition he is in to pull those tough wins out. Good luck cory and I hope you place in states this year because you deserve it!

Copeland's in the NW region and there isnt anyone beating that kid this year. I think that is why a lot of the kids dropped or went up. He's on a different level.

sppawfan wrote:yah, I agree! This is the best time to get out and watch wrestling all day. Good luck to all wrestlers and make d-6 and d-5 proud. Hopefully we have a lot place in states this year. Isn't that copeland kid going to be at regionals at 152? If he is, do you think drew can knock him off? Boy that kid is like a man amongst boys! Did he wrestle him yet and if he did what were the results?
I may be wrong. But I believe Copeland is the only person to get a bonus point win vs Garbinsky(major at Hershey 3 years ago)....in HS, PIAA competition that is.

Isn't garbinsky ranked 5th in the nation at a small school like edinboro? He went to altoona didn't he? He was a stud in high school. If copeland beat him as a freshman then he is a man!

Garbinsky went to Tyrone and you are thinking of AJ Schopp also from Tyrone. Schopp is 6 in the nation at Ebinboro. Garbinsky is at Pitt. Not sure if hes in the starting lineup or not.

Ty Chesney majored Garbinsky in the 3rd place match at Hershey. I think Chesney almost teched him.

Is there a website where they are updating the brackets as they go? The online brackets on the D6 wrestling website are not updating.

thanks guys! It was shopp I was thinking of. He is ripping it up in college. Great to see. I knew it was a wrestler around here that was doing well at edinboro.

Schopp was ranked #7 in the country for Edinboro, but got upset by Sheldon Mack from Pitt tonight.
