D 5 Team Title
Re: D 5 Team Title
Obvious champs??? Left-eye u were the one on the chat saying pfaunmiller doesn't have a chance, what gives? ;) And as far as crouse, he isn't a favorite if he is a 2 seed. Tough to beat a kid 3 times. I will admit, I didn't think he could the first let alone the second. Albright, is tough, w/ little experience. We will c how he comes through.

Look at my previous posts. I'd love to hear how any are not clear favorites.

silentone- I know what I said last night. But what I think and who the actual favorites might be are different. Phaunmiller is a returning Champ and both kids seeded 2 and 3 did not place last year. That would have to place him as the prohibitive favorite regardless of what I think.
Plus I like to get some of my buddies revved up a bit.

But I do feel your reasoning is good in thinking pfaunmiller isn't going to come out on top. Disappointing year...IMO....hasn't beat anyone with a impressive resume this year and has lost to mediocre and possible below mediocre wrestlers. In ur reasoning, shouldn't Easter be the favorite as well. With some big wins this year. Byers being the most notable, returning state place winner. Experience. Tops seed. Etc.
And I know u guys r just giving each other a hard time. Just enjoy wrestling and discussing it.

Re: D 5 Team Title
I think that Crouse should have been the 1 seed. The reason being because he has 2 head to head wins over Easter. Which you would also have to make Crouse the favorite in that weight due to that. Phaunmiller has not lost head to head to either of the 2 or 3 seeds in his weight and he is a returning champ that is why he would have to be considered the favorite.
Now....
I will still take Easter to win @ 113. The kid is real good and can't see him losing to same guy 3 times.
126- I like an upset over the favorite Phaunmiller there also. But that's a pick'em on whether its Brett or Hetrick.

I have Brett over Pfaunmiller. And I think crouse will have problems with replogle in the semi's with his long arms and half nelson. I think whoever wins that will beat Easter.

Re: D 5 Team Title
Well, with crouse being the 2 seed, he will have to get past replogle first whom decked him earlier in the year. So I guess we could make the argument that replogle should be the 1 seed. But, if he does make it to finals beating Easter for the 3rd time will be tough.
I don't know much about the hetrick boy. Do u think he can beat Brett? And I really hope pfaunmiller has a nice post season but he sure hasn't wrestled well up to this point.

Re: D 5 Team Title
Hetrick is pretty tough. Brett beat him at DD's and really controled the match IMO. But I think that is a match that could go either way.
No doubt Replogle is a serious contender and might have to be considered the favorite to beat Crouse. IMO regardless of who wins there you will see a close hard fought battle in the finals. Regionals @ this weight will be crazy. Easter, Crouse, Replogle, Patrick, Dupas, Nolf, Swarrow, Carr, Demaske. That's 9 guys that all have medal capability. If Easter wins districts should get a second seed and bye into the quarters. I would think Crouse or Replogle would be seeded 3rd below Patrick and have a tougher road with having preliminary bouts. In any case all five that advance from our region have a great shot at placing at states.
