Marte is hitting .256 at AAA, no way I'd bring him up next month if he's still hitting that way. Hate to rush prospects.

Pedro drives me nuts. He strikes out way too much. Just watched him fan again after McCutcheon steals second and the Bucs need a run. I'm not a fan.

The corners are killing us offensively----Pedro hitting .200 and McGehee at 1st is no better.

The problem with the Pirates is that their player development sucks. My guess is if they gave up on Pedro he would go on to be a 290 hitter with 30 home runs with another team. Just like Aramis Ramirez. It has been this way forever. Look in their system for a decent hitting prospect that is a year away. There are none. St. Louis loses Berkman and they have a choice of 2 good players in the minors waiting to replace him.

The pirates are sitting at .500 right now, and our division is weak. I'm actually kind of excited to see how it all plays out.
