TOTAL Institutional Control

Post by WPIAL~Titan »

This isn't lack of institutional control; It is TOTAL Institutional control...

WAIT, JVP never used e-mail. That's what he said and what his family said, so it must be true!

It's all a conspiracy!

Coach, what is your take on this whole thing?

I certainly take the extreme anti-PSU football/anti-Paterno view. I also realize that there is another side.

Obviously as an alum and long time fan, you have to have some strong feelings. You have to feel cheated, betrayed, deceived.

Nope. Not yet. I won't jump the gun... I'll wait til it's all out there. The deceased can do nothing to defend himself either and all these leaks are trying to point one way. Who leaks to the site you posted anyway??? Corbett?

Coach, with all due respect to your opinion, Paterno couldn't defend himself even if he were still alive. His mind was gone and he had lost his ability to think clearly over the past 3-4 years. Just watch a few of his public interviews over the past several years. He made a bumbling fool of himself at his press conferences.

Also, do you really think his counsel would allow him to defend himself? He was senile. He could barely string together a coherent sentence. He would be eaten alive by an opposing attorney.

The interview Paterno did for the Washington Post about a month before his death was pretty pathetic.

I believe that the leaks are either coming from the folks involved with the independent report or from PSU folks who could be in the know who are trying to save their hides.

Looks like, according to an ESPN report this morning, that we'll have answers soon:

A consulting firm's report offering new information about how Joe Paterno and Penn State senior officials responded to an allegation that Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused a boy inside the football team's showers could be made public as early as next week, several sources said Friday, and is expected to be tough on Paterno.

The report is expected to shed new light on administrators' handling of the Sandusky allegations, and also raise questions about Paterno's leadership of Penn State's vaunted football program, according to several people with knowledge of the inquiry's scope.

"Much of the focus will be on the culture of the football program, with findings that go back more than a decade," said a Penn State official briefed on the inquiry, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "It's going to be very tough on Joe (Paterno)."
