Q&A with North Star's Tony Strasiser
Q&A with North Star's Tony Strasiser
Who: Tony Strasiser
Team: North Star Cougars
Position: WR/DB/P
Size: 6'5", 190 pounds
Tony Strasiser wears #4 for North Star and is one of the best receivers in south-central Pennsylvania. Tony's North Star Cougars are the reigning district champs and have had a great run going for them the last several years. We'd like to thank him for taking the time to do this Q&A for us! Last year Tony had a tremendous season catching 54 passes for just over 1,000 yards. He also scored 10 touchdowns.

Let's get to know Tony Strasiser!
Do you have any pregame rituals?
After getting out of school on friday about 10 kids on the team would always go to my cousin tanner revaks house who graduated this year and eat and then watch a movie. I never watched the movie though, I would always go upstairs and take a nap. Then right before the game started my brother and I would touch face masks and say "me and you".
Last year you guys won districts again. What was your favorite memory of the season?
I would have to say beating Windber in the district championship was the best memory. Our goal all year was to be undefeated and Windber spoiled it in the regular season so it was nice to get revenge.
What will you miss most about not having your brother around this year?
The chemistry my brother and I had on and off the field will be what I miss the most. We pushed each other in everything and made everything into some type of competition, which shows by the career path he has chosen.
What regular season game are you most looking forward to in 2012? Why?
Conemaugh Township, any time Township is on a sports schedule for North Star it's going to be the game you look forward to.
What does the college situation look like?
I've been in contact with a lot of division 1 AA schools, with a few bigger conference schools. VMI recently made a full scholarship offer.
Here are schools that have visited:
1. Penn State
2. Syracuse
3. Harvard
4. Penn
5. Colgate
6. Lafayette
7. Columbia
8. Temple
9. Princeton
10. Lehigh
11. Old Dominion
12. Yale
13. Cornell
What is something most people don't know about you?
Hunting is definitely my biggest hobby and I started playing the guitar about 4 months ago.
Name one player that isn't on your team but you wish he was. Why?
Tyler Boyd from Clairton. The kid is legit.
