100% true... People just keep passing on the 1998 situation fact that a cop listened in and an investigation was done.
The scary thing was everyone that passed up on things...
Cops in 98 didn't prosecute
AG office
Janitor
Mike McQuery
Millen said it very well.... There are lots of people to blame here...tons.

What about Spanier? I also liked what Matt Millen stated. No matter what the opinion was of Paterno or the other two, the President of this university dropped the ball big time. He was hired to over see all aspects of the university and protect the integrity of the university. He didn't have the testicles to make a decision that could of saved some of these victims of going through this. He should be indicted also based on what he knew and didn't report or make the decision to report. There is no way I mean no way he should of allowed the other three to sway his decision. He in my mind should be held accountable for his actions also in the court of law.

Great article that I think would summarize what many non-Penn State cultists are thinking:
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootbal ... apologists
and why would the Paterno's fire off with another "statement" after the press conference. They just need to shut their mouths and take it. Facts are facts.

As a PSU fan I am sickened from what came out in the Freeh investigation. Let’s not put all the blame on Joe. Don't get me wrong he is to blame as much as anyone. There are several people who should be held responsible including Governor Corbett who was Attorney General at the time when this case came across his desk and nothing was done.

No alibi here. But once upon a time in America, we had a man in the White House who lied to Congress about countless affairs, had impeachment proceedings brought against him, soiled some laundry as it was being worn and made me look at cigars in a whole new light. Where is he today? Smelling like a rose. A whole lot more people thought the world of him back then too. What was that expression about glass houses and stones? Just saying.
It ain't over until it's over.

The athletes at Penn State have absolutely nothing to do with mess.Shut down football? Shut down all athletics at PSU? Not right.
Joe knew. Not only did he know...
I thought their statement was right on HR.... I still don't and never will think the man had malicious intentions. The ball was dropped what looks like by 100 people here.
