I would have to say that it would be NB and Tussey. I also remember that play off game that Tussey won. There was alot of unsportsman like conduct among the fans after the game. You can always count on a packed stadium when these two play.

thepalerider wrote:Define rivalry...for it to be a rivalry I look for the all time series to be close to .500, Ridge beats Bedford once every 15 years. Huntington wins once a blue moon over Tyrone. There is no NBC-Tussey rivalry the all time series is like 12-58 in favor of NB.
I understand the intent...but FYI, H-don still holds a slight lead in all-time sereis vs Tyrone....they are the only school that Tyrone has played more than 20x that is above .500 vs the Eagles, and that includes State College. So yeah it's a rivalry...and to me personally it's bigger than Bellwood. I'd sooner lose a body part than lose to Huntingdon at anything.

I lied. Double checked after spouting off...H-don is 1 of 2 schools that have played us 20x or more with a winning record. Tyrone vs H-don is 42-36-4 in favor of the shaved feline .And Hollidaysburg owns a 27-20 advantage. My bad, I'll admit when I'm wrong...even tell on myself.

I'd say Greater Johnstown vs Bishop McCort. The two schools close proximity to one another, the Parochial vs Public thing, and the so-called "City Championship Game" reminds me a lot of another outstanding rivalry and that's Harrisburg vs Bishop McDevitt.

Personally I'll always now miss the Laurel Valley/United game. A rivalry that ended with a regular season series record of 22-22-3. (United is 2-0 in AC Bowls vs L.V.). Historically in Heritage the best would be Homer Center (aka Laura Lamar & Homer City)/Blairsville

The old LV/United used to have some great battles especially the 100 degree day games at LV. Those days will be missed. HC/Blairsville is always a good game to watch there, always lots of tension between the two teams and they always play each other tough. Another great rivalry is Purchase Line vs Penns Manor aka the backyard brawl.

Backyard Brawl = Tyrone vs. BA, maybe Frontyard Frollick would be a better name for the Purchase Line v. Penns Manor game... Just kidding, but I had to say it.

i like mccort vs jtown the best... richland has only won like once or twice in like over 20yrs... in order for it to be a good rivalry both teams have to win way more frequent
