Let's get to know Jathan!

What kind of season is expected in Shikellamy this year?
We are expected to do great things this year by the players and the community.

You played as a sophomore but you didn't play your junior year. What happened?
I was told over the summer before my junior year that i would have to get knee surgery, it was a knee injury that kept coming back. The surgery held me back until late December, when I could start working out again.

How has the summer of 2012 been going for you as a football player?
The summer has been great for me, I have been to camps to get my name out there and I have been working out multiple times a day to get better.

Who is your favorite rivalry game with?
Selinsgrove, the stadium is always packed with a great atmosphere.

Outside of Shik, who do you think is the best head coach in your area?
Jim Roth, from Southern Columbia because they always put a great team on the field year in and year out.

What is football camp like at your school?
Camp is high intensity but short but sweet, its going to be difficult at times since we are still learning our new playbook.

I know you want to play college football, what have you been doing to get your name out there since you missed all of last season?
I have been to many camps and combines and started to contact college coaches through email.

What did you miss most about not playing last year?
Not being out on the field on Friday nights.

What game are you most looking forward to in 2012?
Our first game at Mt. Carmel, because we have a lot to prove with our new coaching staff. Mt. Carmel is always good and it's my first game back!

See any good movies this summer?
Yes, TED and That's my boy

What one song is the greatest pump up song there is?
Fort Minor- Remember the name
