HERITAGE WEEK 9

Post by HSfan »

Week 9
Last week 5-0 and 35-5 ytd.

Homer-Center (6-2) 7
Penns Manor (7-1) 34

PM beat Purchase Line 48-0, 48-0 at half time, last week. PM scores;
R. Gromley 40 yd Pass
E. Marshall 55 yd Run
D. Ferens 55 yd Run
C. Bytner 57 yd Run
D. Ferens 72 yd Run
R. Gromley 33 yd Pass
C. Henderson 80 yd Run

Danny Ferens ran just twice for 127 yd and 2 TD's. He throw two passes, both TD's, for 73 yd. Homer-Center had a very tough lose last week, 14-13 at Ligonier Valley. The Wildcats out gained the Rams 283 yd to 120. They are playing PM at the wrong time.

Marion Center (2-6) 28
United (0-8) 7

MC lose 20-14 at Shade. Brodey Thompson had a 86 yd KO return for a TD to make it close. Shade out rushed the Stingers 251 yd to 98. United woes continued at Blairsville 39-0. The Lions where only out rushed 131 yd to 103. But, the Bobcats where 9-11-0-147 passing vs United's 4-12-3-37.

Purchase Line (1-7) 20
Saltsburg (1-7) 21

While PL was being hammered by PM, Saltsburg was getting the same at NC 40-3, 34-3 at half. The Trojans tend to win close games; they beat PL 22-20 last year.

Blairsville (5-3) 20
Portage (7-1) 30

The Thompson brothers and D. Robinson continue to power the Bobcats. RB Robinson had 118 yd rushing and 2 TD's. Bobby Thompson had two TD passes from brother Scott. Robinson and B. Thompson each had int. returns for TD's. Portage is on a roll and should be very strong at home.

Ligonier Valley (7-1) 24
Northern Cambria (6-2) 21

Which Ram team will show up Friday ? They where 6-0 and out scored the oppenents 299-33 the first six weeks. The last two weeks they have been out gained 557 yd to 185 and very very lucky to split the two. RB Ryan Torrance will be back, but Connor Maust is out for the year. Stuart Urch status is unknown. The IG should have info in Thursday's paper. NC QB Jeff Hogan was 8-10-0-187 with 2 TD's last week. For the year he is 56-103-951-7 with 13 TD's and a rating of 160, second in the Heritage behind Ferens 186 rating.

All game Friday 7 PM.

1. PM 42 HC 14 - Penns Manor looks a lot like the team that finished the season last year, offensively and more importantly defensively
2. MC 21 - United 0 - Disappointing year for both these teams.
3. PL 28 Salts 20 - This game is about as much of a toss up as every coin flip
4. Blairs 29 Portage 27 - Must win for blairsville and i see them winning it. Very impressive team that hit NC, PM and LV at wrong times
5. LV 35 NC 21 - This is one of two games northern needs to win to sneak into playoffs. Wonder if they regret scheduling Heights next week?
