I wouldnt say more talent as much as i would say more numbers. Richland has been able to stay fresh throughout games. They have many kids that only play one way unlike most teams in the area

Yeah i agree with the numbers.
Not sure why all the hate on Bailey. They already had the 1 seed wrapped up..playing in all reality a meaningless game. Freezing cold night as well. Why not be aggressive and rely on your D which hasn't let u down all year.

Re: Richland at Bellwood
Seems to me ,and I have no affiliation with richland or bailey, that he has helped build the richland football program up. He sure seems to be winning most years now. We will see if they can keep it going for another 4 or 5 years. It appears to me as if he has things going good!
Re: Richland at Bellwood
With a very good jv team and some good jr. High players coming up I think they will be solid for several years. I also agree with the comment on having numbers(not having to play both ways helps). But, you can only do that if you have talent in those numbers. Again, hats off to Bailey and Fleming for starting the Richland Rockets program. They are starting to play football together in 1st grade. This got boys out of soccer and back into football. An from what I have been told they run most of the same plays in the rockets program that the varsity team runs. So, they are playing together for 9 or 10 years and running the same offense the varsity team runs. It seems they took a page out of the Johnstown parochial league ( Bishop McCort's farm system) play book. Add to that the fact that most of the St. Bennie boys are coming to Richland instead of McCort is helping. Another overlooked ingredient is the fact that families (I know not a lot) moving into the Johnstown area are moving to Richland.

It's kind of funny that the smallest public AA in the LHAC is being mentioned as having a numbers advantage. Credit to the coaches/administrators in the system for that.

I'm not taking anything away from the staff. I believe they're doing a great job bringing in kids and also developing them

I thing that is a fact that many people don't know. Richland is also one of the smallest AA schools in Dist. 6.Colonel Mustard wrote:It's kind of funny that the smallest public AA in the LHAC is being mentioned as having a numbers advantage.
