Speaking of funny calls: is it just me or does anyone else think the officiating in Richland tonight was terrible? I'm not a parent or relative of a Richland kid or anything just a football fan but I thought Richland got the short end of stick tonight.

I held back from saying anything because I am clearly on the Ram side of things, but since you bring it up: wow, just wow. The holding calls were so one-sided it was unbelievable. Richland overcame officials and won the game. Good for them.

Does anyone remember the good ole days when people only complained about the officials when they lost?

Anything said in support of Richland isn't to your liking, I get that, but don't you think it is more valid to point out the poor officiating when you win as opposed to lose? It would seem less biased, but that may be too much logic.

As for details so you don't think I am just "complaining": 5 or 6 holding calls against Richland in the first half and 0 against PC. If the refs want to call it close, fine, but call it fair.

Their were PIAA folks in the stands taking notes and I can only presume something was said about the one sided nature of the officiating at halftime because it ended there.

interesting stat here. Southern Columbia was down 21-0 this week before coming back to win 28-21 in their first round playoff game. Maybe they aren't as good as last year. I might be shooting blind here but there might be a good chance Old Forge or dunmore make it to state semifinal and takes out SC.

I really dont think anything outside of Clariton matters in single A.

I agree clairton is state champion but how far you make it means more and more to players. Making it to a state championship game would be a dream come true to every d6 team I feel. Even if they do lose to clairton

Yeah...my step son played in a state championship game. even though they lost, to him it mattered.
