bedford's junior high is (for lack of better words) in a cake conference, just like ridge and everett. All these schools play shade, forbes road, mcconnelsburg, and more schools that graduate about 30 people a year if theyre lucky. bedford went 21-1 in junior high against these types of teams, but when they moved on to the varsity level, they came up against more competitive teams--the shades were replaced by central cambrias, and bedford was not ready for that much of a jump in skills.

I seriously believe it would be better if ridge, bedford, everett, bellwood, and more bigger schools played each other--i wouldn't mind if our record was 8-16, because i would know we were playing some of the best competition in the area.

By playing the better competition jr high players need to let it all out and not let nerves get to them like some people do. I think some of them need to check their pants.

Bubba: Have you ever been on a real shrimping boat?
Forrest: No, but I've been on a real big boat.

That year we played Forest Hills, Penn Cambria, Fort Hill (MD), Spring Cove, and Tussey at Tussey which is never easy no matter what the level. We beat PC that year by around 20 and they killed Bedford everytime they played them in varsity recently.

The level of competition is important here. If you play cake you learn bad habits that work against this level of players.
