When has any of those A schools won a State Title. Me being the Clairton guy that I am, I say bring them on...
I am not just speaking in football terms on the class changes. I am representing all sports with my statement. There is a definite need across the board. Clairton has had a nice run. However for every Clairton there are multiple privates with that kind of success!
That's not true tho...

4A 1 of 8 are Private
3A 4 of 8 are Privates
2A 1 of 8 are Private
1A 1 of 8 are Private

7 of the 32 left are Private schools. We're is this competitive imbalance at? A Private School hasn't won Class A since the early 90's. In the previous 5-6 years the WPIAL has at least 1 Champion from all 4 Class's. If a school like Pittsburgh Central had Luke Brumbaugh, Tyler Boyd, Dorian Johnson, Robert Foster, Devin Wilson, and Justice Rawlins then yea I could see how Woody High or NA would have a complaint. To me this recruiting issue is completely blown out of proportion. Simple solution; step your games up to their level and beat them on the field.
I agree with you. I guess my question is how many private schools are there. 7 out of 70 is 10%, not bad of a number but probably a lot less then public schools. I think you can't avoid it. Play against it. The more of an imagine you set in your mind they will beat you of recruiting the more likely you'll lose because you are already giving yourself an excuse.

Hey, you get one hot year and it's global warming. Usually the ratio of private to public is greater than this year. Plus, how many AAAA teams are private. The sample is skewed already.

Yes what I said is very true. Look at my quote again/ I said all sports! Did you look at all sports both boys and girls? Heck in basketball alone more than 75% of the champions are either charter or private schools. The small school final four teams are dominated by privates in basketball. They do well in every sport generally. When you consider the public schools outnumber privates at least 10 to 1 it is really bad! This whole step up your game thing is a farce!

Yes basketball really reflects a major problem. Which is totally logical as it only takes five to play and a few transfers can make up half a team. Unfortunately the impact felt ,especially in small school classes is far harder to cope with.
