This is absolutely correct! Alot of the LHAC /district6 people just love to dump on these two conferences. Quite frankly in single A football district 6 has the easy road to states. They don't play the WPIAL champ first round every year. The same team that crushes evryone. The PIAA should rotate the disticts first round opponents every year. While many of you bash Berlin, lets not forget that NBC did not win the title in 5A. The same team who gave Bellwood all they wanted. Now if Clairton disposed of Berlin in a blowout, what would happen to Bellwood? While we are at it lets remember that the so called Ill-CC is representing the area in single A. Many of you need to grow up and quit piling on one of the smallest districts in the state, not to mention ripping on non LHAC conferences! We are all aware district 5 lost to Clairton, let us know when district 6 beats them. Hell if anyone should be bitchin its Rochester they are the team who would have won it all a few times if it wasn't for close losses to Clairton, and they didn't get to go the title game at hershey!

Open the history book sir
Bishop Carroll went toe to toe with Rochester 2 years in a row in the western final, both very very close games.
then (listen closely) they BEAT the D7 rep Springdale, to go to Hershey.

Why is the time not being upgraded to invest in the football programs? The best way to get tired of getting arsewhoopings is to do something about it.
I'm talking about a spread across many fields. Most schools can only be good at one fall sport for boys or girls. In the fall, boys are split between football and soccer. Also when I graduated many did not play because they felt it took too much away from their ability to be farmers. My senior class had the players, however they went in other directions whether it was soccer, work or anything else. There wasn't the pure desire in everyone to play football, a lot of it was the fact that we were getting crushed. Now with all of our youth football, the program has turned around fairly well, but still to say that the competition level will meet that of D7, that I can't do.
Sounds a lot like Greene & Fayette Counties with the farming/coal culture. Here in the WPIAL its a lot like that. Monessen is decent in Football but usually great in Basketball. For Fall Sports some schools are solid in Football & sucks in Soccer while others are great in Soccer and sucks in Football. Not too many small schools are good in both. I think the best way for D5 schools to compete against WPIAL schools are to play up in its nonconference schedule. A Berlin or Conemaugh could be trying to play Johnstown & Richland. Schools on the Eastern part of D5 should look into playing Steel High, Trinity, or Wymossing Valley. I understand that step up in competition will result in blowouts early on, but it'll help increase the level of competition not only locally but on the state level.

Whatever, there's just no way you can put D5 against D7 and expect D5 to win. There's not nearly enough invested in football programs in this area. D6 would have to same problems, but it's easy to not feel the same way when you don't have to deal with it.

This obviously isn't your personal..or D5's motto. (Not saying all D5 teams...there r a few legit programs that work their aZZ off and can play with D6)

Forreal tho...we bring up u making excuses and u answer with more excuses????????????? @-) :ymapplause: #-o :-w

First, I don;t look down on anyone...I call it like I see it and how it is.

And Clairton would put a whooping stick to any team in D6...probably any class even.

The difference is that most legit D6 schools wouldn't go CRYYYYING about it. They would come to play no matter what. Even Berlin..D5 Berlin's coaches and (most) players came to compete last friday. It was the Berlin && D5 fans and some players taking RIDICULOUS cheap shots that is what's pathetic and REEEEEEKKKS of that victim, OH WE ARE JUST A SMALL DISTRICT non-competitive nonsense. No place for it...never will be.

LOL... I can't agree with this but I see your point. I want to see PA as the hotbed of talent that it used to be. You're still seeing high end talent throughout the state, but not as many D1A/BCS level recruits as we did 20 or so years ago. I want to see NA not only play a Lakeland Florida, but beat them.

And to add further and include other classes:

A- McCort played neck-and-neck with CLAIRTON (OMG CLAIRTON!!!! BUT THEY"RE FROM THE WPIAL D7!!) and would move the ball time and time again but couldnt make the big play. Clairton hits a FG and a long 80+ yard run to seal it at end of 4th. This game coming during the "streak" mind you.

AA- Tyrone went to state ship in what '96, '99? (beating WPIAL teams both years). 2004 they put a serious A-whooping on Seton LaSalle led by record breaking QB-WR connection and multiple D1 players.

AAAA- '09 State College beats the mighty Woody High Wolverines to punch their ticket to hershey.

These r just off the top of my head as Im sure there more....FH in '94 mayb?

Yes lets advertise another single A recruiting school from district 6 who beat a WPIAL team WOW! There are no recruiting schools in district 5, there are 3 in district 6 sir. What have the publics done in single A in district 6? The only team who should run there mouth on here from district 6 is Tyrone. They won it all and are a public school! You accuse district 5 people of being cryers, which is funny what do you want people to do when you make up ridiculous threads like this one to embarass district 5! Young buck I can tell youare a wet behind the ears kid who just loves to insult kids! You never coached anything in your life. Grow UP!

District 5 is a bunch of cryers because you saw a few cheap shots at the game, and a few idiots said inappropriate things? Nice logic with that comment.Did berlin forfeit? No they showed up and played. I guess showing up and giving your best isn't enough for you guys. What is totally wrong and is no better than the people who said those things is ripping on kids from district 5 and berating them. Apparently you guys better start playing AYSO too, because Clairton will crush any representative you guys can bring to the plate too! Oh but I forgot apparently no fan from district 6 says anything wrong or no player ever cheap shots. Wake up!
