richland vs aliquippa next week
Re: richland vs aliquippa next week
I agree if Richland won it would be a upset but, that's why they play the game. Maybe they can frustrate the Quips the way they frustrated Coleman.

Re: richland vs aliquippa next week
I would love a Richland win but I really don't see that happening. Richland is a powerhouse of a team but after watching the Quipps all season on Root Sports I don't believe the rams can stop them. The 2012 Aliquippa team is probably the best football team I have ever seen. They don't have a weakness anywhere and they score points at will. Not to mention they basically get home field advantage. If Richland can dig deep it may be a game but there really going to have to dig deep. Good Luck Rams!

The best team that you have ever seen? You mean high school team? Have you watched North Allegheny?

How's Aliquippa have home field advantage? It's 50 minutes of drive time for Aliquippa and about 2 hours for Richland. I wouldn't be surprised if Richland traveled on Thursday giving them less drive time on game day. I haven't heard what their doing so don't quote me on that. You also got to factor in the field at NA. Aliquippa has played most of their games on grass, while Richland has played mostly on artificial turf. As far as fan sections go, Aliquippa will probably have slightly more fans but not by much.LongtimeFan12 wrote:I would love a Richland win but I really don't see that happening. There is a lot of justified hype surrounding Aliquippa. They have awesome talent. Reading the stories about them brought out one fact to me that might be useful. From the sounds of it none of their players has ever played a whole game. I wonder how their stamina will hold up? Maybe a whole game of 2-minute drill offense might wear the defense down a bit. Who knows. They might also do sprints in practice every other day and be completely ready. Might be worth a shot to find out, though.

On the other side, is Richland somewhat "tired" after playing most of their games all year.

Rams6 the fact the Quips have played mostly on grass this year, and now are on turf should hep them immensely especially with their speed. And Richlandfan I can tell you this much if I was Bailey I'd test them early and often with uptempo no huddle offense, see if you can wear them down that way. It sure can't hurt to try. This is the kind of game where it is time to empty the playbook.

It might not help either...if they go hurry up and don't get 1st downs, you are giving the quips more possessions...that could blow up.

yes, it would for sure only work if the offense was able to produce drives and points, otherwise, as you point out, it would give Aliquippa O more plays and that is not desirable.Eaglealum wrote:It might not help either...if they go hurry up and don't get 1st downs, you are giving the quips more possessions...that could blow up.

That's a great plan, you should try it...Richland_Fan wrote:There is a lot of justified hype surrounding Aliquippa. They have awesome talent. Truthfully, the Quips are conditioned. They run every day, most go to a trainer at 6:00 AM before school...conditioning isn't an issue.
