I'm watching back the Clairton game...I have to ask, how do you prepare for a team like Clairton? Forget the speed, they run so many different offensive sets that it would take you forever to try and gameplan that team. Power, Spread, Wildcat/Single Wing, Option, Pro, that passing game...good Lord.

you get them early in 2013. I think the streak ends. Clairton loses 16 players to graduation from this great team. Replacing Boyd is a huge task. There is also the fact that Nola has been ready to retire. This may be the year he does. He considered it last year but didn't want to leave the streak. That said, if they somehow do manage to put the season together early look out.justafan017 wrote:I'm watching back the Clairton game...I have to ask, how do you prepare for a team like Clairton?

Here's the thing, even if Nola stays there will be a shakeup in the coaching ranks. The OC Buck will have a different role w/ the staff to attend his son's games at Belle Vernon. There is also talk of the DC Wade landing an HC job somewhere. I'd imagine that Nola would promote from within with Coach Williams becoming the OC and unsure which coach would become the DC... Absolutely. Replacing not only Boyd but the Killer T's, all 3 starting QB's in the rotation, your secondary etc. is going to be a task. However, this is actually part of the reason why playing such a weak schedule has been beneficial. A lot of these kids like Ryan Williams(QB/WR), James Hines(WR/RB), Devan Fitz(WR/RB) and others have seen entire half's of games plus 7 extra weeks of practice the past 3 years. Amazingly enough, Clairton's Fall 13 Fresh Class will be another "Super Class". So if this streak doesn't end in 2013, it may take the school closing to end the streak.
