Job Openings at D6SN
Re: Job Openings at D6SN
Why not????? Is it better for women to show up for an interview and then have them find out only men are wanted????? What about Hooters??? What about Tilted Kilt?? There is no rule if a private business wants a man or a woman for a job. What if you are an optometrist and simply want a woman receptionist; that you think a woman would add a better ambiance to your office than a male would. We're not talking gay or race. Sometimes an employer simply wants a man or a woman for a job. I'm sure the Rockettes aren't hiring any guys for their dance line. If you're a magician, don't you want a sexy assistant helping you with your act? Who wants to see a guy cut in half? Think about it.

Coming from a family of lawyers, I'm telling u u can not advertise one sex only. And at the myrtle beach hooters I had a male waiter once....kinda Sucked.
Re: Job Openings at D6SN
Tell your family members to take a refresher course. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination in any aspect of employment, including job advertisement. This includes discrimination based on sex. This act covers ALL private employers, state and local governments, and education institutions if "they employ 15 or more individuals". If not, then you can advertise for a male or female for a job opening. So if you own a small golf course, and you employ 10 people, and you want to hire a GUY to cut your grass, then you can advertise for one. Next.

As long as you incorporated, you have nothing to worry about. You may lose the company in a civil suit but your personal assets will not be at risk.

Re: Job Openings at D6SN
They are totally different. Discrimination rules are DIFFERENT if you have less than 15 employees. Peyton is saying that D6SN can be sued for discrimination in advertising. I say they can't be sued unless they have 15 employees or more. Where's the comparison?? Where's the agreement between the two?
