D-6 Area Larger schools

Post by Big Ike »

Just curious...I did not realize it has been over 10 years I believe since Johnstown moved to the LHAC, And now H'Burg Tigers and 'Toona are in the WPIAL...Thought there were rumors in the past of Indiana moving back to D-6...What is the general thought from these areas for their moves? Any disapointments, happy, sad, Mad, lol...My guess most don't care and are generally happy were they are at and there probably is not too much talk about any of these teams switching districts again. I also realize D-6 is vast but is or are there any reasons why the "Bigger" schools never banded together to form a AAA/AAAA conference? I.E.

Bellefonte Area High School AAA
Greater Johnstown High School AAA
Hollidaysburg Area High School AAA
Altoona Area High School AAAA
Central Mountain High School AAAA
Mifflin County High School AAAA
State College Area High School AAAA

This would at least leave 2 games for an out of conference rival.
