Why weren't some local teams invited? Just asking.

Which ones? I believe that most local teams that have decent programs have been invited or have been in it at some time. I know they have to be about maxed out on teams, but they seem to let local teams in if they need the points. (Portage a few years ago) central also just started coming and Everett recently.

123wrestler, the 7th and 8th placing at 106 was my toughest decision because it was so hard to find any quality wrestlers other than the top six. Who do you think might place 7th and 8th instead? I think you are definitely right that I could be wrong there haha I am not confident in those picks at all.

I'd love to see state champs from AA take on AAA. My bet would be on AA.

Aaa would win all but maybe two weight classes this year but that wasn't the point, the point was aaa is much deeper, hence more challenging than double a.. I don't see how that's even disputable but hey to each his own, I really only care about 152 aa this year, just felt like posting my opinion on the aaa aa debate

Not always the case, but Eric Frick was a state qualifier for central (aa) his junior year. Transferred to Hollidaysburg (aaa) his senior year and was a state champ.

M.DOAK- is right. AA is good wrestling, but there are just more kids in AAA which is going to make it deeper. Most times AAA champs and placewinners would beat their AA counterparts.

I would guess if you took the 8 AAA and AA placewinners to make a 16 man bracket for each weight about 75% of the placewinners would be AAA.

I know Eric and he was awesome, d6 aaa was awesome that year...there's plenty of examples of that but no one will ever convince me aa is as strong as aaa

I agree with doak also. They have way more kids in their schools than aa to get better depth and more quality wrestlers. Not saying aa kids would never beat a aaa though. An example my coach gave one time and he coached a in football and went to aaa then. He said you may have 1 star in a on a team, but in aaa you have about 6-8 kids of that a caliber on the aaa team. More to choose from and he said also that the a kid would still be a star on the aaa team though. Ex ferens from penns manor would still be a stud on a aaa team. It is just that aaa team has 6-8 of him.

If i really cared enough id like to go through and see how many match ups there were between AAA place winners and AA winners. I guess agree to disagree. I'm still sticking with at the state level there is very little difference between divisions. The Westmont kids really help out my case. Tanner Hough was a runner-up in AAA when they moved up.
