Chestnut Ridge vs. Benton

Theres a lot of intangibles that go into state duals. This is CR's first trip while teams like Benton, Boiling Springs, & Reynolds have all been there multiple times. Experience definitely helps. I feel like ridge will finish in top 6. It would take a really really good performance for them to get past BS and Reynolds. It will be interesting to see how this weekend plays out. Dont forget though they still have to beat Benton first.

I don't see the enough depth to in Benton, Boiling Springs, or Reynolds to beat Chestnut Ridge. The two teams that match up best with Ridge are Burrell and Beth Catholic, and they're on the opposite side of the bracket. Given the success Ridge has had this season, I see 6th place as a bit disappointing.

Yes, Benton might not have the depth, but i think you are overlooking BS. They have some good kids form 113-126 and a few through the middle. If Ridge can get bonus points up top they have a better chance. I just think the match will be closer than you think.

Captin i agree 100% I think a lot of it will fall on how the coaches prepare such as looking into the lineups and knowing a solid plan...

Captin, I agree anything can happen at a state tournment and wrestlers can move up a weight, but lets look at a common opp. for both CR and BS. They both wrestled Bermudian Springs. BS twice, CR once. Ridge beat them 34-24 at Chambersburg Duels. BS beat them the first time 33-26 and the second time 32-31 winning by Criteria D " most bouts won 8-6". Things can happen but I think Ridges first test will be Reynolds.

If you look at the matches I believe Bermudian Springs did not have their full line-up in the CR meeting, maybe the first BS match. To say CR won't be tested by BS is pretty bold.
