Boys AA: Bellwood 49 Blairsville 44 Final

Wow, a lot closer than expected but Bellwood gets the all-important W.

Yeah, 55-47 with 2:29 left.

And McCort beat Central. Were down by 2 at half I think. Pulled away late 3rd.

Marion Center 65 Cambria Heights 52 Final Both Fetsko and Vescovi went over 30

So top of AA bracket looks like MC-BEA and NC-Tyrone. Heritage vs Mountain in both games.

And in tonights Heritage-Mountain game... Ligonier over Penns Valley. So 3 of the 4 Heritage AA teams make the final 8 (with Blairsville falling to Bellwood by 5). Didn't realize they had so many AA teams this year.

I was impressed with Central the way they came out and played in the first half against a McCort team that looked stunned early on. This was still a one possession game midway through the 3rd quarter before three straight turnovers by Central turned into 6 quick points on layups for BM really did the Dragons in. McCort is going to have to play better than that though to repeat as champions. Luckily for them Bellwood didn't look very strong tonight either as it appears that Noah Davis is still not 100% healthy. We should have some real good games in the next round for AA.
