state brackets up
Re: state brackets up
I hope every wrestler there places, but my predictions ( no offense to any one) for d-5 I say easter, tanner cahill, bryce fochtman, dibert, and hall will all get a medal. Jmo I hope everyone else proves me wrong, but based on what I see, these would be the best chances at placing.

Re: state brackets up
120- Ryan Easter is in the tougher half of the bracket but in the side away from the best in the state in Cruz from BECA. As Captain said it is pretty even on the bottom half as most any of them could knock off the other. I would say Vath may be the favorite to go to the finals. But, I think Easter if he wrestles his BEST could def. make the finals. Hopefully this is his year to climb higher on the podium. All 3 matches to the finals for him will be tough though. I would say 1 or 2 points and OT matches. Isreal, Vath and Welliver would be the likely path IMO. All winnable and all loseable.

Re: state brackets up
Hall has a tuff top bracket, but if he wrestles well he should place pretty high... Can he get higher than JO's 4th place finish?
Re: state brackets up
Hall has the height, weight, and strength to tangle with anyone. I think those two, height and weight hurt buttry because for a smaller wrestler he is tough. One thing is for sure, he wrestled buttry like 3 times and won all of them. Maybe he can learn from buttry what he will need to do to beat buttrys first opponent if hall wins and buttry loses. But if they both win, hall should definitely be sitting pretty. One thing for sure is whatever that selepak uses on hall, he better practice on how to stop that move because 3 pins all with the same move, it better not happen in states. That selepak kid beats hall and loses to kids hall beats. Doesn't make sense. Hall has big joe in his corner to fire him up and coach him also.

Yes I do... HWT hasn't been this good in awhile... O and Mitchell is my cousin... Very happy with his performance... Just wanted to hear what everyone else is thinking good or bad.
Re: state brackets up
Your related? I never woud have guessed. Question for someone who was at Regionals as I was unable to be there. What happened in the Hall vs Buttry match. Radio announcers said Hall was awarded a point for an escape that should not have been awarded. Was that true? Would that have given Buttry the win?
Re: state brackets up
I didn't see any point given that shouldn't have. Halls escape was near the edge of the mat, maybe thats what they were talking about but Hall would have escaped anyways Buttry couldnt hold him.

Re: state brackets up
iirc when the escape call in question was made there was still plenty of time left in the period for Hall to get an escape. So it wasn't that significant of a call.
