BC/LP Scouting Report...
Re: BC/LP Scouting Report...
It was a great effort that BC put forth especially in the 2nd half. They trailed by as many as 18 in the 2nd quarter and led by as many as 5 in the 2nd half. Once they started attacking the basket good things happened. LP's defense is weak. A few times off turnovers their kids never even attempted to get back. They had a bunch of turnovers in the 2nd half and BC was getting layups. Had a chance at the end but turned it over with under 5 seconds left. BC had a lot of careless turnovers. Was a great game and they were very successful going up and down with LP.

Great effort, Huskies. I'm guessing at halftime, and down 14, Cosie got on the internet and said, I wonder what WPIALTitan would do differently.........Then came out and executed the "bleachercoaches" gameplan, almost to perfection!

It ain't over until it's over.

Yeah and if he'd have done it the whole game, BC would've won, lol. I kind of thought that LP with their behemoth size could get a ton of stickbacks off the offensive glass, and knew that jr G/F/C Elijah Minnie would be an impossible matchup for them. Minnie had what 42 and 20???? SMH.
BC proved themselves big time as a key player in the PIAA A group next year. LP is uber talented, but just talented enough to beat themselves at the hands of a really good, well coached team like BC. That very nearly happened last night. The next time, BC just may kick the door down.
In addition to their tough LHAC opponents, BC should not waste non-conference games on weaklings. BC needs to get out and schedule 4-5 tough non-league opponents. Hollidaysburg is a good start, maybe get in a tough tip off or holiday tourney and play some really good competition.
BC and McCort are the very heavy odds-on favorites to win their respective LHAC divisions next year. Now we will see what the off season work on skills and in the weightroom brings.
Again, great performance and effort from BC. You should be proud.

They dont have 2 6-6 guards like Lincoln Park or a 6-9 kid like LP. Honestly Philly Vaux is probably better, they have lost one game to a PA Single A squad(M,C,& S) and only 3 games to teams from PA(Imhotep and Philly Electric). They split with Math, Civics, and Science. Lost the regular season game and beat them in the d12 playoffs. Vaux lost 5 games to teams outside the state which is why they have a 22-8 record. They have similar height to MC&S and Lincoln Park.
Both Vaux and MC&S are considered top 10 teams in the state, in ANY class. Jerry Shenk ranks Vaux #5 and MC&S #6. The only western squad he has ranked in the top 10 is WPIAL AAAA New Castle at #8.
Vaux and Mc&S will play their rubber match in the East final
