John Ziegler=A#1 Cult Representative!
Re: John Ziegler=A#1 Cult Representative!
I don't and won't defend Joe til my death. My issue is the media and clowns like Titan fail to realize that there were others involved who could have done more. But they don't have to defend themselves because no one in the major media has the balls or guts to question them or put pressure on them. If Sara Ganim was a hero she would be demanding answers from CYS, Police, Central Mountain, The Second Mile, Corbett and others. She wrote a narrative that would get the most attention and ran with it. No one demands any answers from McQueary's old man, who it was first reported to. Although not a mandated reporter, neither was Joe. There is MORE TO THE STORY, than Joe didn't do enough! Titan is so infatuated with hating Joe and PSU that he can't think rationally. But that is ok, cause I get a kick out of some of his responses, like I have said before, when I need a good laugh I read one of his posts.

I would like to thank WPInheAdL Titan for all his hard work just to make us chuckle. Us Penn State fans should chip in and buy him a nice gift.
Why?
Re: John Ziegler=A#1 Cult Representative!
Nets, yes a lot of people looked the other way...but shouldn't the guy who was a god and did 10000000 times as much good as all of us on this board combined, been the guy to step up to the plate and put this monster away? Yes, and that is why he is criticized so heavily.
Re: John Ziegler=A#1 Cult Representative!
He's criticized because it gets the headlines and people hate him.

Re: John Ziegler=A#1 Cult Representative!
There is one major difference between what happened at Rutgers vs. what happened at PSU.
What Coach Rice did was pretty much universally accepted way of coaching sports at all levels way-back-when (1940s-50s-60s-70s). Think Bob Knight, Vince Lombardi, Earl Weaver, Woody Hayes, etc. Bob Knight got away with what Rice did for years, until it finally caught up with him. Woody Hayes punched a player during a bowl game on TV (makes you wonder what he did in closed practices with no media around). Today, it's a different era and you cannot do what Rice did as a coach and not expect repercussions.
What Jerry Sandusky did was never universally accepted at any level. The most vulnerable, helpless members of our society (young children) were victimized while educated men like Paterno, Spanier, Curley, and Shultz did nothing and while children continiured to be victimized. In fact, Paterno allowed Sandusky to do things like attend practices, and continue to travel with the team to bowl games while Sanduksy used PSU football as the bait for his victims.
As bad as the stuff that Mike Rice did to those college athletes, what Jer was permitted to do by being given carte blanc by Paterno and company was absolutely barbaric, draconian, and absolutely tragic for those children.
PSU did nothing to stop Jer. Thank goodness that Central Mountain HS student had the courage that JVP did not, or Jer would still be runing wild all over central PA.

Thanks for setting me straight WPIAL. I almost thought for a minute that throwing a basketball at a 20+ year old man was as bad as raping an innoncent child. Glad I now know that isn't universally accepted.
