No one is a 120-130 pitches a game player. MLB guys aren't. I believe in an earlier post u said ur cover-up for not being Corey is a baseball scout, if this is true (which it isn't) you could be the worst scout ever.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I didn't say he should, but I am not his coach either. What I meant is that he is the rare kid in this area that has done it the last three or four years without getting hurt. I don't make predictions in regards to injury. However, the expected outcomes aren't good if he contiinues this pace. Only some of the games elite guys can do it, provided they have a lot of rest, conditioning in between, as well as constant monitoring by trainers and doctors. One thing that helps kids at this age who do throw a lot is if they aren't challenged. Its not like he has to throw every single pitch as hard as he can to "make a pitch". Some pitches are more stressful than others. There are more factors to consider than just an arbitrary number. But again, I agree with you that its not necessary. The kid gains nothing by throwing that number of pitches, but has a lot to lose. It goes back to the coach, and the lack of enough qualified and knowledgable coaches.
With that being said, have you ever paid attention to the number of pitches some kids throw on the side before they come into a game, or don't come in, without anyone counting? I counted a kid yesterday that threw 75 warmups on flat ground - which is even more stressful to the arm than throwing off a mound. Where is your concern for that kid? Now I have to go write a bs article on track so quit harasssing me.
