Legit question....do all area teams finish the season?
Re: Legit question....do all area teams finish the season?
I doubt they wouldn't. Monessen is headed to Maryland, Fort Cherry is playing Brockway, and Carlynton is playing Westinghouse. That's only games I've heard so far.bigben7 wrote:Would the wpial let teams play out of conference for the teams that were suppose to play imani?

Rockwood has a 26 man roster according to today's Tribune Democrat. Conemaugh Valley also had a roster of 26. Conemaugh Township has 30. Ferndale just 19. The PIAA probably should implement a minimum roster size. 19 seems to be too low. 22?

I don't think the PIAA should be making rules on this stuff.... West Branch had a nice solid team with 18-20 guys last year.

All I know is that Ferndale dressed 15 kids and Rockwood dressed 12. I was there and saw it.

1987 was forever ago. Is it safe to field a team these days with just 19 kids, including 9th graders?
19 becoming 15 is troubling. 26 becoming 12 hints at some blatant dishonesty when the story was being written.
Red flags have been flying over these programs for years. What's Plan B?

Will 2-3 teams in the WesPac sink this year?
Any teams in the Heritage in bad numbers shape?
Regarding the Blairsville-Saltsburg School Distict, is Saltsburg or Blairsville doing alright with numbers or will there soon be one school district co-op?

Do the schools that were scheduled to play Rockwood get the points for the win even if they pick up another game? And then, do they get points for that game too? How does all of that work toward playoff standings?

If they don't play, and win, they don't get points. Not considered a forfeit because season was canceled before a PIAA game was played. Rockwood really screwed teams.

District 5 teams won't be affected and the District 6 opponents aren't playoff material.
