Michigan Fan Maced

Just saw the pics of the Michigan fan being maced at the PSU game Saturday. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts on this incident are? Have this ever happened at any other sporting events you have been to? Was it justified? A buddy of mine was sitting about 5 rows behind this guy. From what he told me an argument occurred between this guy and a woman behind him, because he was standing the whole time (which a do the whole game at OSU). When she asked him to sit down, they started arguing and he made some pretty nasty remarks to her, and she hit him. He shoved her back and she went to get security. They come an escort him to the ramp, when police arrive and ask him to leave. Then the struggle begins. They get him against the railing and attempt to cuff him and he resists, they warn him to comply or be maced, well he gets maced several times and still struggles to break loose. They finally get him cuffed, and while cuffed he attempts to headbutt the officers and get maced again. Then they get him out of the stadium. Obviously this is a second hand version of what happened. Anyone else there see this also? Obviously alcohol played a part in this, as it usually does. Some people are saying it is police brutality, what are you thoughts. Please keep it on topic.

Deadspin was all over this the following day. From what in understand he was being a complete idiot. Even the Michigan fans around him were upset.

FWIW, she did punch him in the face, which was kind of funny. He was calling her some pretty nasty names before she punched him. If it would have been my wife or girlfriend, I would have hit him long before she did. Personally I think he deserved everything he got. He had his chance to comply with security and police, and avoid getting maced, but his drunken self chose not to. I believe it was a case of two idiots not being able to handle their alcohol. The Michigan guy was clearly intoxicated when he got to his seat, he struggled to get to his seat.
I did see something similar to this at a Maryland basketball game years ago. A Duke and Maryland fan were arguing and started taking swings at each other. Security broke it up, but while outside the arena on the concourse, or whatever you call that at Cole Field House, they started again and the one guy got maced and the other one got a knee in the back and forearm to the back of the head. Idiots ended up missing a great game, both were intoxicated.
